Hey, I'm Jess.

Bliss This Mess started in a season filled with little kids, long days, and a real need for connection when the walls felt like they were closing in.

What began as a simple way to feel less alone slowly grew into a space where I could breathe a little, write a little, and remember there was more to me than laundry cycles, snack schedules, and wiping butts.

Life has changed a lot since then. The kids grew, I grew, and that simple need for connection turned into a full-time career I never saw coming. Now I balance homeschooling, editing, writing, and the everyday chaos that comes with raising six kids – all while trying to hold onto the parts of myself that started this whole thing.

Why I’m Here (and Why You’re Here, Probably)

This space has slowly become my way of noticing myself again – the parts that get buried under work, homeschooling, responsibilities, and everything else that comes with raising a big family. Writing here reminds me I’m still growing, still learning, still capable of being someone outside the roles I fill all day.

You’re probably here because you’re carrying your own version of life on your shoulders and you want something that doesn’t try to fix you or add more noise – something that helps you hold onto the parts of yourself that get quieter the busier life becomes. And if these words make you feel even a little more seen or a little less alone, that’s enough for me.

Meet the Bliss This Mess Crew

I live in Tennessee with my husband, and our six kids – currently 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, and 3. They’re funny, wild, thoughtful, stubborn, creative, exhausting, and absolutely themselves.

It’s never quiet, but it’s always full.
